Two nights on a working coffee estate, a waterfall morning and the best filter coffee of your life.
Built for anyone who needs to leave the city on Friday evening and return genuinely rested. You stay on a family-run plantation outside Madikeri, walk the estate with the grower who farms it, and spend a slow morning at Abbey Falls before the day-trippers arrive. Nothing is rushed and nothing is scheduled before 8am.
Every stop, stay and meal in the order you'll meet them. The line fills as you scroll.
Met at Mangalore or Bengaluru and driven up into the Ghats. Check in to the plantation bungalow by late afternoon, then an unhurried walk through the coffee and pepper rows with the estate owner. Dinner is Kodava home cooking on the veranda.
Early start for Abbey Falls while it is still quiet, then the Dubare elephant camp on the Kaveri. Afternoon at the cupping table learning to taste the estate’s own roast. Sunset from Raja’s Seat.
A late breakfast, then the Golden Temple at Namdroling Monastery in Bylakuppe on the way down. Airport drop with coffee from the estate to take home.
The two things that decide whether a trip feels considered or improvised.

The questions travellers ask most about this journey.
Yes, and it is arguably the best time to see it — the falls are at full force and the hills are entirely green. Expect rain daily and pack waterproof shoes. Estate walks continue unless there is a storm warning.
Light. The plantation walk is about 2km on gentle estate paths. Abbey Falls has roughly 60 steps down to the viewing deck.
Easily. Kodava cuisine is known for pork, but the estate kitchen cooks an equally good vegetarian menu with advance notice.
