Cancellation Policy
What you receive back when you need to cancel a confirmed journey, and the timeline that governs it.
Last updated:
This policy applies when a journey is confirmed and you need to cancel. It forms part of the Terms of Service, and the two should be read together — the Terms cover changes, postponements and cancellations we initiate; this document covers cancellations you initiate.
Cancellation charges
When you cancel, the amount you receive back depends on how far out from departure we receive your written notice. "Written" means email to the address on your confirmation; a phone call alone is not enough.
- More than 60 days
- Full refund less a ₹5,000 administration fee per booking.
- 31–60 days
- Loss of deposit (25% of journey price).
- 15–30 days
- 50% of journey price forfeited.
- 8–14 days
- 75% of journey price forfeited.
- 7 days or less
- No refund.
Days are counted from the date we receive your cancellation notice to the first day of the journey. The scale applies per booking, not per traveller — if one person on a multi-traveller booking cancels, we apply the same percentage to that person’s share and refund accordingly.
When supplier terms override ours
Some components — particularly international rail, cruises, and permits for restricted areas — carry steeper cancellation terms. Where they do, we state that on the quote and again on the confirmation, and those terms prevail for that component only.
Domestic flights booked on your behalf are non-refundable once ticketed. If you cancel the journey, we will attempt to recover what the airline allows, but the industry norm is a service fee plus forfeiture of the fare.
Cancellation for reasons outside your control
Where a government issues a formal travel ban to your destination, or where an event makes the journey impossible (not merely inconvenient), we will work with you to reschedule or offer an alternative. If rescheduling is not possible, we refund whatever we can recover from suppliers, less amounts already spent that cannot be reclaimed.
Medical emergencies and personal bereavements are not covered by this policy. That is why we require travel insurance on all journeys — insurers can reimburse you for circumstances we cannot.
How to cancel
- Email us from the address on the booking, stating clearly that you wish to cancel and including the booking reference.
- We acknowledge within one working day and confirm the refund amount.
- Refunds are processed within fourteen days to the original payment method, unless the booking was split across multiple cards, in which case we may issue a bank transfer.
- If you paid by card, your bank may take an additional five working days to credit your account. That timing is outside our control.
How to reach us
Questions about cancellations and refunds go to our team directly. We aim to acknowledge within one working day and to resolve within thirty days, which is the statutory ceiling for a data request under the DPDP Act.
